Dear Neighbors,

I’m Chris Giunchigliani, Nevada Assemblywoman and creator of neighborhoods1st.com. Thanks for visiting the site. As I walk door to door and fight for issues in my own neighborhood, I find that people are frustrated. They often don’t know who to turn to when issues come up in their neighborhood. Or they don’t know where to go to get more information.

I created this site so that we could communicate with each other about issues affecting our neighborhoods – growth, education, healthcare, crime, traffic, and quality of life. Many of these will come up during the legislative session. But issues will also come up at the City Council, County Commission, School Boards, in our PTA’s, at our police department, and in our neighborhoods.

As neighbors, the task of keeping up with it all can seem daunting. Often, we feel helpless to fight for the issues we care about it. It seems the decisions affecting our quality of life are always being made by others – special interests, lobbyists, and powerful insiders.

I hope this site will provide a forum for neighbors to keep up with issues in our community and communicate with each other. However, this will only work with your help. Please e-mail neighborhoods1st.com at help@neighborhoods1st.com and let us know when there are issues in your neighborhood.
